About the Course
This three-day or five-day course will provide an intensive overview of the body of knowledge contained in API 510 and its basis documents including ASME VIII Div 1 & 2, ASME FFS - 1 / API 579 and others. Practitioners in these industries must be fully familiar with the basis and reference documents to adequately design, construct, operate, inspect, maintain and assess the integrity of pressure vessel equipment. A major benefit of the class will be to illustrate via example and case study where design, inspection, operating and maintenance practices can fall short and jeopardize long term vessel integrity & reliability.
The intensive three-day course presents the syllabus outlined in API's API 510 pressure vessel inspection certification program; a practice exam and review will provide attendees with feedback on their understanding and mastery of the API 510 content.
Days 1 to 3 will cover the primary and supporting materials in appropriate depth to challenge the practice exam while also highlighting practice improvement opportunities.
The five-day course will provide additional topics for practitioners by providing a deeper understanding of pressure vessel design, buy, construction practices and engineered fitness for service assessments. The course goes well beyond the brief and general discussion of API 510 to maximize value for the attendee in his organizational role.
To whom it may concern
The course is directed to inspectors, engineers, technologists, technicians, maintenance personnel and managers responsible for the compliance, integrity and reliability of pressure vessel equipment in these industries who want a comprehensive understanding of the topic.
